Tokyo Stores?

I'm off to Tokyo later this year and staying in Shinjuku. I'm looking to buy a pen probably a CS as a memento.

Can anyone suggest any good stores to have a look at?

Thanks.

If by CS you mean Conway Stewart, there are not too many 'brick and mortar' stores that carry them in Tokyo. Mitsukoshi Dept Store in Nihonbashi (across town, but easy to get to by subway from Shinjuku), Itoya (Ginza store), Maruzen (in Oazo, near Tokyo Station) all carry CS pens. In Shinjuku, try the pen section in Odakyu Dept Store--on their tenth or eleventh floor--where Itoya has its branch store. Next door Keio Dept store also has a decent pen counter (run by Maruzen), but not sure if they would carry CS pens.

Aoyama Shosaikan (http://www.shosaikan.co.jp/) has a great selection of European pens, including CS's (for directions, see here http://www.stutler.cc/pens/tokyo/shosaikan_map.html).

You can also try the former black market labyrinth of shops below the railroad tracks in Okachimachi (just south of Ueno Station) called Ameyoko (short for Ameya yokocho, or "Ameya Corner"). The previous link will show directions to the Ameyoko stores--there are about four of them, all selling at discount prices (for Japan).

And of course, there are several online webstores, and they may send pens to your hotel in Shinjuku. Buneido, Pen House, etc.

Good luck, and enjoy your stay in Tokyo,
