Suggestions: Pen as wedding gift

Pick a pen you will wabt to use. Every day. She will see it and know that every time you hold the pen you are holding her hand.

Forget any pen that might be purely for show. The show-pen will go into a box and both of you will forget it. You want to pick a pen that shows your relationship lives, that you don;t forget it, that you practice at it.

Pick the every-day writing pen that you find (or believe you will find) to be most comfortable. It might be good if you can change nibs...you will change but the pen should stay with you.

I say, get a custom Nakaya. Getting married only happens once, you want something really special to remember it:)

How about both of you design it? Then it'll be a part of both your hearts for a long, long time and you'll always have a memory to cherish and relate to.

Congratulations, best wishes, and I hope you have great happiness in marriage!

Regards,

Siddharth

My fiance has delegated the job of getting my own wedding gift. Isn't that just great?! So I am looking around for a pen to mark the important date in my life. Any suggestions?

Congrats on your pending nuptials.

I would be very careful about choosing a pen to mark an occasion such as a wedding for a couple of reasons:

1. You will probably have to either a.) never use the pen or b.) always use the pen. Putting the pen aside if/when you find one you like more might not be appreciated by the other half.

2. If anything happens to your pen, God forbid, you might also be in trouble.

Just some thoughts to ponder.

Regards,

Neil

Totally agree. Marriage is more about the future than the just the ceremony. Chose something that you'll have pleasure using - not something that is just attractive and will sit on a shelf.

Best wishes!

Hey, I've worked out how to set up an avatar! Next week I'll move onto tying my own shoelaces...

Plus one on the "use every day" thoughts...

Marriage is more about trust, comfort, and a feeling of being constantly "in touch" than it is about ceremony or the initial occasion.

Something you've always wanted, but something that you won't just "put on the shelf" to observe and admire.

And yes, involving your fiancee, whether a pen person or not, in your choice will make it more special.

All the best to you and your betrothed!

Andy

I agree totally with most of the comments here. Yeah I am going to need a 'show pen' but at last like a marriage I would like a pen I carry around everyday, something special that would remind me of our bond.
