My Jean-Pierre Lépine pens

A well-known french pen maker who lives in Jura, a very nice place. Pens he makes are colorful and have original style. Though, I have hard times to use his fountain pens. Their barels are too big for my hand. Slim Ballpoints are easy to use on the other hand and I always carry one with my notebook at work.

Those are really nice! What materials has he used to make (the barrels of) these pens?

I have three Lepine's and absolutely adore them! :)9

However, I believe they are made from Resin... I thought Onyx was a black gemstone.

The appointments are chromed I believe, and the steel nibs seem to be available in only one size - that has been my experience anyway. They run Medium-Fine in my case. They take short international cartridges.

The Attila's are small and stout little pens measuring just over 4" capped, 5.5" posted. The Indigo is a little smaller.

I blogged a little bit about my Attila Fountain Pen here, and about my Indigo Murano Fountain Pen and Attila Rollerball here.

Well, when I bought my Jean-Pierre Lépine, the shop owner told me it was onyx (on the net, I've seen coloured ones, so it may be possible) but on some articles I read, it was said he uses resins, african, european and american woods and zirconium.

-> This article for example <-

The mini-pen Attila model is very astonishing. I like the color of yours.

My daughter loves these pens - she has just one - a Samba rollerball. Very well made pens and fun. I haven't tried the FPs myself but I do like the playful designs.

Hi, your pens are beautiful.

I tried a Lepine out recently and it was beautiful to write with .... I have my eye on one of these in the orange colour. I think they are very good value.

Dawn - I picked up my Attila FP at The Pen Shoppe in April, and they were $70 off. The picture you posted (the Indigo range), used to sell for $175, so it might be worth enquiring as the same discount would apply to the Indigo.

In regard to colours etc, I often ask them to check the Brisbane Arcade and Sydney stores also.

The big suprise comes from the one I got from Kevin (its photo I borrowed from him below):

It fits very well in my hand and has a smooth nib. Good sensation when writing.

It's acrylic resin made in China.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
