Rohrer & Klingner Sunflower Yellow

dandelion

Recommended Posts

I bought this to have mostly as a highlighter ink. It will suit for that purpose, too, but this is a lovely yellow ink that should be used for more purposes than just highlightning. It reminds me of summer and the yellow colour resembles sunflower so much that I almost think I even feel a hint of the delicate sunflower scent. I wish it were summer...

In the meantime (for us north of the equator) this ink will give a glimpse of summer. It is also very wellbehaved...

Cheers/Petra

Thank you P2P! I realised after a few minutes with this ink that I was smiling because this yellow made me so happy. Just like sunflowers do in the summer. :cloud9:

wow-let's make an ink Exactly the color of Sunflowers-Success!

Perfect review Petra! Including your signature artwork at the bottom:)

This is a fabulous ink! Definitely leans to a wonderful warm and bright yellow.

Also, Rohrer & Klingner's Helianthus/Sunflower is a dead-ringer for Pelikan's looooong-discontinued Helianthus! :)

Argh! My eyes, my eyes!

:P

Seriously though, that is the kind of ink that lifts your mood at any time of year. Thanks for the review.

  • 3 weeks later...

Based on this review and the comments it generated, I have just ordered the R&K Helianthus/Sunflower ink. I have been looking for a yellow with some here-I-am intensity and this seems to be it. It should arrive close to the time that my Pelikan M640 Sahara arrives. I'm hoping to wed the two as I like to correlate barrel color(s) with ink. Without the FPN I never would have heard of R&K. Thanks all. (or should I hold the thanks until I see the ink?).
