I don't think a pen gets more elegant than the Omas MoMA:

(sorry for the poor quality photo - just a quick digital snap)

Tough one!

Waterman has many elegant vintage and modern pens (the Edson is super elegant). The Aurora Ipsilon is up there, and the Aurora 80th anniversary is fantastic! There are a few Mont Blanc pens that scream elegance (for me, the Mozart in Bordeaux, and the LE Kafka)

So if you have a lot of ink,

You should get a Yink, I think.

I like the vintage Triumph Sheaffers real well, so that's how I voted. If I had to choose a modern MFG. it would be Dani-Trio.

How can you tell when you're out of invisible ink?

As much as MB is boring and maybe snobbish or waste of money to some people, I find its shape is most comfortable/ergonomic, therefore I like them all (Boheme, 146, 147, 149)

2nd runner-up is the OMAS 360 IMHO.

Hey there moorthi!!! Glad you stopped by!!!

i love your Waterman Edsons!! I have one myself with the factory stub and they are so smooth and a nice medium wet line. Unfortunatly the converter doesnt hold as much in as I would like it to but who cares!!! They are extremely comfortable and heavy but balanced!!

BTW I am still having lots of fun with the Togi Emperor pen!!!

Yeah, welcome to the Nuthouse, Moorthi. B) Hope you'll enjoy your stay here. I always check out the beautiful pens that you have on sale (as well as the equally beautiful pics)... just a small question of money (or lack thereof, on my part  )

As for this thread directly... Phew!... this will take some thinking... design, in terms of solely appearance/aesthetics, and not the feel while writing nor its writing characteristics... yeah... needs some thinking... that MOMA sure is purty, Jim!... hhmmmm... elegant...

Back at a later time, then, I guess.

Hello TNS and GH:

Thanks a bunch for the kind words.

Glad you like the Togi Aaron - It was tough to let it go.

Certainly love the Edson - All of mine have B nibs - maybe I should get a nib exchange - the Stub you describe sounds interesting.

Regards

Moorthi

I am of course biased, but beauty of course is subjective. I don't know if these you would find elegant, but I sure like them...

I had to go with Visconti - love that celluloid, love the aesthetics of their nibs.

Yes, I think I have to agree. Even though I don't own a single Visconti (yet!), somehow those nibs and colors make me drool and get goosebumps more than almost any pen maker.

Except Pelikans..

And old Sheaffers..

And many Auroras and Deltas...

Wow, this is tough. I love to write with my Visconti Midi, and it was a great price. Nib is wonderful as well. Is it the most attractive brand? Wow, that is tough. I gotta think before I vote, but I am liking my Visconti so much.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
