    I have enjoyed my Custom 845 Urushi Vermillion. When the dark blue version was released, I was sorely tempted and finally succumbed. It arrived today, and I think it's pretty wonderful. David

    The Pilot Custom 845 Urushi in both black and Vermillion is starting to show up on US vendor sites as coming soon. List price is $850. I got each of mine from Japan through the Bay at about half that. It's nice that it's showing up, though. I'd like to see the 723 coming over now. Can't get enough of the #15 nib.

    So I post my pens, use them a lot, and want to get an 845. I know there is a felt (?) lining in the cap to protect the urushi. Some people say that lining wears away eventually. That is fine, I'm not concerned about wear on my pens, but I am concerned that the posted cap might become looser. So does anyone use a posted 845 a lot, and how has that worked out over time?
