I love those wet, fine Pelikan nibs. I'll have to take a go at an 18k one day. Is there much difference from the 14k, as on the M600 or M400?

Depends on who you ask and what your goals are, Brandon. If you asked Richard Binder or John Mottishaw, I believe they'd tell you that the 14K is preferable (for what it's worth, Abi @ Chartpak would tell you the same) to the 18K because the 14K is more suited for adding flex. Personally, I can't tell the difference between the two.
