You're even anticipating my questions -- as I was looking at your review, I was wondering how this ink would compare with Florida Blue. Then, in the last line, you tell me.

Thank you for the review,

Peter

Artists think in terms of which direction on the color wheel the color in question leans to. For blue, on the warm side (warm = yellow, orange, red) there is violet [red plus blue], on the cool side is green (blue, green). Ottoman Azure leans slightly in the green direction, would be close to the pigment known as cerulean blue. Navajo Turquoise is greener still. These would be considered cool blues. Florida blue would lean the opposite direction, toward violet, which would be closer to the pigment ultramarine, a relatively warmer blue (though blue itself is the ultimate cool color, all things are relative, thus you can have both cool and warm blues).

Ottoman Azure is a lovely ink, an nice contrast to the many warmer blues that lean toward violet (red).

I really like this ink. It is my favorite Noodler's and my favorite blue at this point. One of the things I like is that there seems to be very little nib creep with it (which some of my other Noodler's exhibit.) it also seems to have less tendency to bleed through with most papers than the other Noodler's I have. My final reason for liking this ink is that it seems (IMO) to match the blue stripes on my Pelikan M805 very nicely. A small point, but an added bonus!
