PENS for sale

Blade Runner

Recommended Posts

I have some of duplicates of favorites that aren't getting any action, so I'm looking for new homes for my babies. Except for the Sheaffer, they are practically new and barely used with single owner history. They are all smooth, pleasurable writers and without issues unless stated. Prices include shipping. CONUS sales only and no trades please. I don't have paypal set up yet to receive payment, so I will accept a US postal money order. 5 day quibble free refund period. Returned pens must be in exactly the same condition that it was sent for refund. Shipping is not refunded unless there was a significant error in the item's description. Thank you.

L to R:

1. Aurora Optima piston filler in black resin with gold trim, broad 14k nib (Aurora nibs run a bit narrower than most European/American brands), box and pamphlet included. $235.

2. Waterman Laureat, convertor included, in gun metal and gold trim, fine gold plated steel nib, no box or pamphlet. $40.

3. Omas Mezzo Paragon (Milord size) piston filler in black resin, gold trim, and a vermeil cap, medium 18k two tone nib.

Note: the cap is pretty heavy at 16 grams, and the body is 10 grams without ink, so you will probably use it unposted.

The Milord size Omas is roughly the size of a Pelikan 600. Box and papers included. $280.

4. Sheaffer Legacy Heritage, user grade, convertor included, in deep cut palladium metal, medium 18k nib. I bought this pen used with some issues. The photograph doesn't show it, but the section has numerous superficial but noticeable scratches and a circumferential band in its midsection where it was rubbed and has lost its gloss. The palladium finish has no issues. When you cap the pen you can freely spin the cap with the barrel held fixed. Sheaffer may be able to fix this for a nominal charge, but the cap stays securely on, and I didn't pursue it. No box or papers. The nib is really sweet. $50. ON HOLD

5. Waterman LeMan 200, convertor included, black metal with gold trim, medium 14k nib with a hint of stub. No box or papers. $130.

6. Pelikan 800 piston filler, black with gold trim, medium 18k nib. It has a very faint posting ring on the barrel that is discernible if you're looking very closely under strong light. Clear ink window. Box and paper included. $200. ON HOLD

7. Pilot Custom 743, pump convertor included, black with gold trim, medium 14k #15 (large) nib. Box, paper, and a pack of carts included. $210.

8. Cross Townsend, convertor included, green lacquer and gold trim with a 14k medium nib. It comes with a rollerball section, so you can use the pen as either a FP or RB. RB refill not included. No box or pamphlet. $130.

Oh, hurt me! What a lineup! And these are just the also-rans in your collection, eh, jeen? Don't show me the first stringers, I'll cry. ;)

For someone who wants to "go black" color-wise, here's a world of nice things.

The following is an addendum to the description of item #3 Omas Mezzo Paragon -

Upon close inspection the cap has very fine polishing marks that are uniformly distributed. I believe these are virtually unavoidable unless you don't touch and clean it. I don't see anything I would call a scratch or ding.

Jeen, those pens are beautiful, and I think your prices (especially for a couple I would be interested in!!) are good. Unfortunately, I am on a diet and have to hold back (have to have to have to oh god have to).

The fit and finish of the Aurora Optima is first rate, and it's a great pen.

It's essentially new, having been used for one fill.

Bump to show it to better advantage -

Ah, Fox, you're still after a laureat, eh? I hoped that you had found one by now.

Oh, good. I knew you were on the hunt a few months back. I'm a big fan of the Laureat, they write well and have a very pleasant weight...

How's your new Tuckaway? Do you have it yet?

I have two of them now, but I, er... haven't filled them yet. My eyes are faster than my writing hand.

Which ones are still open at this time ?

I apologize for not updating -

The following are still available:

Waterman 200 FP

Cross Townsend FP (plus RB convertor)

Both have very smooth nibs, reliable flow (not too wet or dry) and no cosmetic issues.

Best regards,

Jeen

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
