Noodler Army Green

I have been always looking for cool green colour. Something that Italians would call "Verde Mela" or green apple.

 

My first try was Herbin Vert Pre, but it turned to light to me.

 

I also like PR Spearmint, but it is not something that I would called "light green". It is stil great colour.

 

Than I have tried Noodler Army Green, and it looks great.

As you can see, my Ferrari Yesterday is a very wet writtet, and colour is much darker.

 

With other pens it is lighter and nicer.

 

Compared to other brands, Noodler has great lubrication and moderate flow. That has actually helped to my ill Arco Brown that used to flood all over the place.

That sure does look like O.D. (olive-drab) to these eyes. Of course, color memory isn't very dependable; you have to have it in front of you. Normally, I wouldn't think that it would be an attractive color, but I'm finding it gets better looking the more I look at it.

 

Like you, I prefer the drier line. It really brings out what I think Nathan's intention is for the color. Nathan sure has brought some excitement to an aspect of the FP interest that was long overdue for some pizazz.

I have a bottle of Noodlers Army Green. It is a bit on the watery side but depending what kind of nib you have, it can be a very nice Dark green. It is a different green than a Sherwood Green. I find that the Army Green is a bit of an earthy green, very natural looking. And yes it does look a bit OD to me!!! Brings back my military days!!! (wasnt too long ago either!!!)

This one looks too drab for me but then it is just what you should expect for an army green. Actually, I remember the old Army dress uniforms where a lot greener. Ranger green.

Thanks for posting that. Pretty sure this colour isn't for me. I may be mistaken as it's been a long time since I've seen it, but it sort of looks like the old Pelikan Moss Green. I like olive green, but is it just me, or does this Army Green have a lot of grey in it?

It certainly is a different take on green inks . And I think Leslie is right, with her remark on the grey content of this ink.

 

I think by now my ink list is getting way too long again. I'll have to rethink it .

I got a bottle of Army Green and it resembles the Army duffle bag green. I'm not that jazzed about this, so I added some Noodler's cayenne and got more of an olive green which I like. Otherwise, straight from the bottle....eh..

 

Adding the cayenne makes it more an PR avocado which I like much better.
