FPN Limited Edition

Here is what may just be the first published spy photo of the FPN LE Pen. As is typical of such shots, it's a quick, down and dirty image, so the quality isn't great. But it's a taste to whet your appetites for what's coming in the mail . . . any day now . . . :)

And in case you wondered what 114 pens look like when squeezed into the cargo area of a Subaru Outback:

So here's what happened
While you were nappin'
I just went out for a snack
I was feelin' famished
And then I vanished...
But now I'm back

Sir

My sincerest thanks.

My hat is off to you for all the labor and time you have put in just so some addicts can enjoy a fix.

If I can ever be of service please let me know.

James,

I'd like to echo my thanks to you for your efforts in bringing this to fruition. By the way, did you get one for yourself? :)

James,

Thank you for all your effort and support for this project.

Since I won't see it for a few days (I'm heading your way in the morning and will miss it by a couple of hours), I have a question: Is the nib in the photo the 14K version? The steel version has the rhodium finish, correct?

Hi Bill,

Bring your bike - we can go for a ride. My road bike is temporarily out of commission with a loose bottom bracket, so I'm riding the Javelin 'Cross these days. I could even hook you up with a pair of these:

Answering your questions, that's the 18K nib. The steel one is Rhodium-plated.

I would also like to add my thanks for your hard efforts and all the people that worked on this project. The gold nib looks really good with the blue. I am looking forward to receiving mine too. :bunny01: :bunny01: :bunny01:

Why thanks for the picture - and thank you very much for all the work you've done on this! Appreciate the picture, as I'm out of town until Saturday eve, so one of those boxes will be sitting unopened at my house with my darling wife wondering again what I got ;)

Sorry everyone - Only 114 of the FPN LE pens were made and they nearly sold out before they even arrived. The remaining half-dozen went so fast that the one I had set aside for myself got snatched up in the melee, so I find myself penless as well. :(

However, they seem to have been incredibly successful and, perhaps the Admins would be willing to authorize another run of the pen, provided Howard can get more of the necessary materials. If not this pen, I've a feeling that other FPN pens are in the cards for some future date.
