I was really digging this pen until I read about it and realized it was made for women. :headsmack:

It's okay to love a woman's pen, but you'd better not try to take it from her without permission... :roflmho:

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.

It looks a little girly, but I've liked girly pens/things and don't see a problem with using a women's pen.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. It's not like it says "THIS PEN IS MADE FOR WOMEN" on the barrel.

No, I'm a girl and I most often use pens that were marketed to men. lol There's nothing wrong with it plus most people are too stupid to even notice. Don't worry about it and do what you want, today anything goes. ;)

I'd rather spend my money on pens instead of shoes and handbags.

IMHO, the world would be a much better place in some cases if we could just stop categorizing things so much.

You have fine taste. That's an awesome looking pen.

Nope. Most tools are neither male nor female.

I was told by a salesperson that my favorite WE, Virginia Woolf, was a "womans" pen. Could be I guess. I'm not, BTW. I love that pen, its shape and features and the "Waves" motif. Even tried to read "The Waves". :headsmack: Mainly, it fit my hand perfectly as a writer. Still don't own one, but someday...

I say, embrace the variety!

I'm sure you are masculine enough to pull it off!

Will it go well with the rest of your outfit?

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of nothing at all...

Hey, if I can use a PFM (and I do!), you can use a pen that's ostensibly marketed to women.

Do you have to lift up the cap to tell? Was never sure how to sex pens...

That's a nice looking pen... maybe better in a different finish. Where did you hear that it's a women's pen? I kind of doubt that's official...

The only thing that I find "womanly" about the pen is that it appears to be wasp-waisted. This is something that I believe appeals mainly to men, though I may be wrong. I do know that there are many men - including me - who are attracted to women who have this basic shape. Though I date myself, I refer to the appeal of Marilyn Monroe, Mamie Van Doren, or Jane Russell, to cite a few actresses who had a very "feminine," i.e., zoftig shape. If my impression of the pen is accurate, as judged from the photo, it seems as though the salesperson meant not that the pen appealed to women, but that the pen appealed to men who found women appealing!

Regardless, a very attractive pen. Use it in good health. :clap1:

I refer to the region between the bottom of the posted cap and the top of the section. If the pen were a woman she would be a little zoftig in the tuches, but that is OK by me.

I remember seeing the print ads in a magazine for your giraffe and a "zebra" pen (I thought that they had another pen in the ad -- forgive me if I am remembering wrong) but I do remember that nothing in the ad had the slightest feminine "slant" to it. I just thought the pens were different and interesting. I haven't read all posts, did you say what size nib you have on the pen? Is it a good writer? The pic in your post is fantastic and the pen looks great.

<<<I just noticed that I made it to my 200th post here commenting on your pen. Do I get a party or something? I'm going off to get my party hat.

<<<Never mind, I just posted elsewhere on my way to get my party hat. Now 201 posts. I guess I missed my window of opportunity to celebrate a landmark.

I have a Honey Almond Visconti Opera that I think it looks quite "girly", but I still think it looks top.

Thanks

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
