Sankodo Okehazama Green

This one reminds me a lot of Kobe No. 31, what with the massively huge difference in colours between the dark and lighter portions of the shading.

I was maybe unfair to this ink, because inks that aren't practical really bug me. So when I see an ink as wet at 55 seconds as it was at 20 seconds, as well as an ink that is so very very light, I generally am not happy.

Still, I have to admit that the ink is interesting, if only because the shading is so very dramatic.

Which is sadly less dramatic on TR paper. Though I suppose the exchange is a tiny hint of sheen as outlining.

Maybe this ink would be a good candidate for mixing with a drop or two of darker green, to see if it keeps its shading properties.

Overall, this ink was interesting but not super great for what I like and what i'm looking for in an ink.

Thank you for these wonderful sailor reviews.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Very Nice review...

I like the colour but the drying time...

I guess using a hairdryer is notpractical :)

Das leben ist wie ein Perpetuum Mobile mit ein Mangel..... Immer im Bewegung jedoch nicht unendlich. (life is like a troubled Perpetuum Mobile ever moving but not for ever)

Tricked throughout the centuries...

For centuries people had been tricked by kings & "religion-alism"

In the 20th century people got tricked by communism

Today people get tricked by (neo)capitalism :)

Yeah, that dry time is kinda the kiss of death for me, too. Which is too bad, because the color is fabulous (I have trouble finding inks with just that perfect shade of green -- leaning yellow, but not so light as to be illegible).

Sigh. Thanks for the review anyway....

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."
