Inky T O D - Color Swatches - Green - Please Post Your Pictures And Tell Us Your Thoughts

Members ask ... What is the best GREEN for (insert purpose). This thread is not for comparisons or detailed reviews. Merely for you to show us some of your samples.

Also, some greens are actually blue or yellow so let's not get to crazy with eliminating colors. If it looks GREEN to you, put it here.

4/26/21 FPN has installed new software and we have a new server. I'm in the process of hiding my threads where the images are no longer in the same location.  I'm uploading the images to the FPN server and I'm adding the name of the ink in the post so that you can search within the thread for a particular ink.

Also, TheRealScubaSteve says I must include a picture of a "Real" Swatch. Here is Nicolas Hayek, president of the watch company, Swatch.

BTW, Blue was here.

Brown was there.

Red was in the woods.

Did you ask about violet (or was it vioLeNt) purples?

Green was leafing us.

Orange is bouncing around.

Black is back.

Here be Pink.

Yellow is Spot On.

Jim says we must share our Black-n-Blues or was it Blue-Blacks?

Susemai Green Cashmere, this ink was a powdered ink that we mixed up.  The ink was later made by the Blackstone / Just Write Ink company of Australia.

Levenger Gemstone Green from an old cartridge. The color is usually a bright green, but this was a desiccated cartridge and the sheen was amazing.

It looks like a blue leaning green in this scan, but it is not that blue. I love this ink and though it is not water resistant, it is fade resistant.  As you can see, the paper makes a difference with my scanner.

Thanks for the info (I only used B&W film and learned to process that).   Boy -- the stuff I learn here!  Just continually astounded at the depth and breadth of knowledge in this community! Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

It just wasn't likely to have been Kodachrome.  It would have been the films I referred to as "other color films." (Kodachrome is not a generic term for color film. It is a specific film that produces transparencies, or slides, by a process not used for any other film. There are other color trans

@Ceilidh -- Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color, not just B&W like I learned to process.  Whether they were doing the processing of the film themselves in one of the darkrooms, or sending their stuff out to be processed commercially?  That I don't actually know, but had always assumed that they were processing their own film. Kodachrome 25 was the most accurate film for clinical photography and was used by dermatologists everywhere. I got magnificent results with a Nikon F2 and a MicroNikkor 60 mm lens, using a manually calibrated small flash on a bracket. I wish there were a filter called "Kodachrome 25 color balance" on my iPhone camera.
