Sheaffer Skrip Red - A Handwritten Review.

Hi guys!

Here's my review of this famous red ink. I should say that it is the modern version of the ink, not anything vintage.

Any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Cheers,

Martin.

EDIT: Just realized the scan makes the ink look much darker than it actually is. The color presented by the water test smear is closer to the actual color on the paper. Apologies.

Nice review. It's one of the fewer "true" reds out there. Most of them seem to have a slightly pink hue.

I always liked Skrip red. I have a couple of cartridges of the old stuff. Guess I'll have to use them.

Thank you for your review, Martin. :)

Of course, the vintage Skrip inks may be slightly different from their current inks, haven't been able to locate any comparison information in reference to that, but I have a bottle of the vintage Skrip red; I am using it in my NOS Sheaffer No-Nonsense with a medium gold plated nib. I like the combination and I like the ink - yes, nothing spectacular about it, but it flows well, is definitely red, and looks nice on the page, IMHO.
