Private Reserve Velvet Black

So this is another one that I haven't seen an overabundance of reviews for. However it comes up often in black ink recommendations. Not as often as Noodler's or Aurora or J. Herbin. But I picked up a bottle on the cheap so here I have it.

 

Overall Impressions: This is a nice black. I like to write with it. It's smooth. Writes really nicely. And smooth. It's a black black, so not much for shading. It has some water resistance. Not permanent.

 

Bonus section: This ink has a gold sheen. It's not as noticeable as on some colors, because it's black. But if you like sheen above all, this is probably the black ink for you.
