Anybody heard of it? I found it in a French supermarket for only 6 euros. I wonder, how is the quality, being so cheap?

I have heard of it. It was released earlier this year I believe and is being marketed towards children/teens. Very colorful with a twisted barrel and bright colors. It is supposed to be ergonomic and very comfortable in the hand as well as cheaply priced. It takes international cartridges and I believe it has the nib and feed from the Pelikano but I may be mistaken there. It certainly looks like an interesting design that I wouldn't mind getting my hands on to try.

PELIKAN - Too many birds in the flock to count. My pen chest has proven to be a most fertile breeding ground.

Thank you for the answer.

I'm embarrased to say that I'm now, at the age of 34, the owner of a Pelikan Twist, a fountain pen designed for children and teenagers... I tried it and loved it. I guess I'm just young at heart :)

Hey NubeAzul, you're in good company--I'm 30 and I would totally get it! I haven't seen it in any stationery stores yet, but from the pictures it looks like an interesting and fun design.

Good to hear!

I've read somewhere that it hasn't reached the US yet. Please, correct me if I'm wrong!

I got it in blue, by the way. Now I only have to find cartridges in different colours. I can only get blue here.

Well I'm in the US and haven't seen it, so that must be right! (unless I missed it, but I think I would have noticed it).

I actually even saved a picture of a light blue one on top of a red journal, which I thought was a nice juxtaposition, from a blog a while ago. I don't know if it's kosher to post other people's pics...Show us some pictures of your pen!

I got this whole set as the shop got a new stock of ink today, when I went back :)

Oh, brave Old World, that has such supermarkets in it! It has been at least 30 years since such things appeared outside of stationers in these parts, and they're almost unknown even in those venues now.

Ravensmarch Pens & Books
It's mainly pens, just now....

Oh, good heavens. He's got a blog now, too.

Niche Pens in the UK has them for sale, though only in two of the four colors.

He came down from heaven and was made man.

That's true. You can find almost anything in those German and French franchises! They mostly have Stabilo fountain pens, though. And two other models of Pelikan I can't remember now... they were around 15 euros...hm... no, I can't remember

Beautiful, thanks! I can tell it's going to get a lot of use with all that ink you bought :)

:) I wanted to have a stock, just in case...

No shame in that; I'm 52 and 8/9ths, and my favourite EDC pen is the Faber Castell children's FP.

I just love that.

And I hadn't heard of the Twist until now, but I really like it. I think I prefer it aesthetically over the Pelikano.

I like its ability to hang off a lanyard. How is the nib in terms of size, smoothness, wetness/dryness etc?

It's the Anfänger nib: 0.7 mm line, I'd say; smooth (not sickly slick, but allowing you to feel the texture of the paper); I have one juicy, one not so much, but nowhere near dry ... this with Noodler's Black Swan in English Roses. Good cap snap, not prone to drying fast. You can use Safari nibs in this pen; though not a perfect fit, it suffers no lack of performance when I've tried it (I like that 1.1i nib).

I'd assume the Twist to have essentially the same nib as the Faber Castell, and I plan to get one!

Don't feel too bad. I've just glomed onto one at the youthful age of 66. I wanted to get pens for my grandsons to try to get them hooked, er, interested, in fountain pens and decided to try one out first. This pen nib is the smoothest thing I've tried in a long while. I came onto this site to see if anybody else liked it, and found all of these comments. Now my husband wants one, too, and I've just ordered three more from amazon, along with Edelstein ink for each. Won't replace my Souverans any time soon, but it's a real delight.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
