Great review, thank you! I was just looking at this color yesterday, online. Lamy red looks just like this... Pink! I'm thinking of Diamine poppy red as a bright and actually red alternative to my ever clogging J Herbin Rouge Hematite.

This review made me smile. Brilliant Red is one of my favorite inks, but I knew going into it that it would be pink-orange, and that's exactly what I wanted.

Yes, pink-orange comes to mind. Also somewhat dry. As to a very slightly orangish red, Pumpkin sounds reasonable. Then Poppy. FInally, for an even redder red (but without so much exhuberance), Sheaffer's red.
