The Parker Premier, Bp Cicelé

There are a few things in life that despite the progress remain always the same. There is no need to change them because people like them and they will always like them the way they are.

One of this things is the Parker cicelé sterling silver.

Some tiny features has been changed over the years like the crown or the shape of the clip, but the overall finishing of this pen has been always the same.

My Parker is the Premier edition that I bought in 1985, this model was on the market until 1992-1994. It was introduced in 1983, made in France.

The finishing pattern is definitely the most interesting feature of this pen and most probably the most successful finishing that Parker has ever used on its pens.

Beautiful overall look, whatever model you are looking at the score is 10

The weight is good, 25gr, even though I would rather prefer it around 35-40 grams. Length is 130 mm which is quite normal for a twist mechanism ball point pen. However, I think that the Premier version is longer than the most recent Sonnet model.

Thanks to the new Parker refills, especially the gel one, writing is a real pleasure, the pen has a perfect balance and due to the finishing the grip is fantastic particularly when your hands are a little bit wet for some emotional feelings ( I remember I used a lot this pen during my college tests).

My conclusion is that this is a fantastic pen, I bet that every pen collector has one of these, either the fountain pen or the ball point, or the all versions.

I have the pen, the pencil and the fountain pen. They are nice. Parker is quality. We sold Parker when my family had a drugstore in San Juan, Puerto Rico

It is a very nice looking pen. I would say 'classy'.

Be Happy, work at it. Namaste

Here is my FP. Nice 18K nib, very smooth. It does dry out if it sits for a day or two (snap cap). The pen is a little small for my taste but the quality is excellent.

I had the ballpoint but unfortunately it broke withing a few years. Pity. It did write well.

I have the same pen, it's great! Especially with the Parker Quinkflow refills. Made me start to use ballpoints again. Now I just "have to" complete the collection with the fountain pen version as well! :)

Edit: I think I made a mistake there, I don't have the same pen, I have the Parker Sonnet Sterling Silver Cisele ballpoint pen, it looks like your pen anyway :P

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
