Thanks. Very nice review. Is this the ink named also "Purple"? I have all 7 Viscontis and find them all great inks although none of them are labelled anywhere what colour that is. The only thing I don't like is their introduction of the new plastic bottles inside a plasic veil. The older ones on a glass bottle inside a really sturdy and artistic carton were much nicer!

Thank you for posting this review - I think the colour is beautiful... so much so that I'm now Googling where I can buy a bottle from! As 'Lapis' has queried above, is the ink also known as 'purple?' I am unable to find Visconti Plum anywhere online.

Much like yourself, I have never tried Visconti ink before but I'm certainly inspired by your post.

Great handwriting too!

Doesn't seem to shade.

The ink is indeed named Visconti purple.

Thanks! Now I don't have to look for it anymore and then buy it!!

Never had the chance to try this color. Most people here stopped carrying it when it went to plastic bottles. Think I will after I use up a few gallons of other inks. Wish they'd go back to the nice glass bottles, but like the shade now I've seen it.

I grabbed this ink at Art Brown when it first came out in Feb 2012, but I found it too light for my taste. Georges's wonderful review scans are inspiring me to give it another shot.
