OK, never ask me how I got these, and NO, I will not have more after these are gone. These are only available in Japan and handmade and turned in Japan by Kato Seisakusho. Currently, the only way you can get these are by ordering on some Japanese website (you will need to know Japanese and hope they ship overseas), or fly to Japan and hunt them down yourself. The best part? the price I am asking is lower than what you would pay in Japan (sans airline ticket, or paying oversea shipping fees). Some beautiful celluloid here. First come first serve and please use:

internetpens@gmail.com for ordering.

It is weird, the colors looks a bit different on my home monitor than work monitor...

1. Redish Brown Celluloid c/c filler. Big pen at 5.6" closed, 5.0" from tip to end of barrel and 6.5" posted. iridium point what looks like between a F and M. ebonite feed. couple very fine drawer scratches on cap band, otherwise new and uninked. $75 US, $85 international.

2. Round top Grey c/c filler, same demension as above, comes with matching BP. The FP appeared inked with some slight discoloration of near breath hole (see nib photo). Looks like between a F to M. ebonite feed. Some drawer scratch on cap band. The matching BP is twist mechanism and will take Parker gel refills. Because FP is used, the set is only $100 US and $110 international.

Can someone tell me more about Kato Seisakusho and the pens he makes?

There are still a few independent pen makers in Japan that only produce pens in small quantity for domestic market and for particular store. Each pen is hand turned not mass produced. Though iridium nibs, they are made in house with imprint "Special Iridium Pen" imprinted on these. Ebonite feeds are also different than the German made kind.

Best,

Kevin

Darn, I was out and about today and missed this :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

To add to Kevin, since Mr. Kato is getting older (I believe he is in his late 70's) and because of his health he is not producing as many pens as he used to. He sounds like a very interesting character. He doesn't like putting gold nib on his pens because he believes that would raise cost of pens unnecessarily. They have been using their own old stock of celluloid rods and I've heard they used to supply rods to large Italian companies (I think Visconti is one of them). Congrats to those who were able to buy them :)

I am both envious of and happy for the lucky purchasers. ;)

Isn't sanity really a one-trick pony, anyway? I mean, all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy . . . ooh hoo hoo hoo! . . . the sky's the limit!
