Thanks for the review! I've been curious about this one.

I'll add it to my personal list of good inks for bad paper.

It should go on the list of partially water-resistant inks, too.

Since this black ink looks purple-based (not green-based, not brown-based), how closely does it resemble the other purple-based black inks: Pelikan, Namiki/Pilot, and new Sheaffer Skrip?

It is not as dark as Pelikan, but slightly darker than Visconti. I don't have the other ones on hand now, maybe someone else can shed some light on the subject. The black inks that I have are on this scan:
