Stupid Q - how to change Duofold BP refill?

I just got a nice, slightly used Parker Duofold twist-action ballpoint (modern production with the banner logo), but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get the refill out. The back end cap comes off, but there's no way to get at the refill. I tried to unscrew the gold tip end, like many other pens, but it won't budge, even trying a rubber band to gain some leverage. And the barrel doesn't come apart.

 

Help.

Skip, the ony truely "stupid" question is the one you didn't ask.

 

The BP fills from the back cap. Just twist the back cap counter-clockwise and the end comes off and brings the refill with it. Screw the cap on clock-wise, and extend the refill point also by twisting it clock-wise.

 

I hope this response helps. It took me a while to get the hang of the Duofolds BP's, too. But, once you get the hang of it, those BP's are great, and they are my favorites.

 

Now, when you start messing with the Duofold pencils, just ask again how to retract the lead. :ltcapd:
