Cross Peerless Writing Sample

Hello,

I am thinking to buy a Cross Peerless, but I am not sure about nib size. Is it possible for some of you to post a writing sample for Medium and Fine nibs?

I am particularly interested to the medium nib.

Thank you

Alfredo

For Cross Peerless, nibs makes Sailor, and the dimension, respectively, is Japanese.

That is, Fine at Peerless will be the same or slightly thinner than the Extra-Fine for the Steel version of Cross Century or Townsend nibs.

Thank you very much, I think I will go with a medium nib.

Yes, for myself, I would also chose medium-thick nib and juicy ink to it.

Actually I prefer thinner lines, but the F nib by Sailor is a little too much fine (I prefer the F nib by Pilot). As consequence I think that my setup will be with a medium nib and a dry ink (typically Pelikan 4001).

Just coming back home from the Florence pen show, where I found a chrome Cross Peerless with a medium nib at a great price.

I am very happy.

Congratulations on your great deal! :)

How much do you write with this pen now?

How often do you need to refill?

Do you make quick notes on the go? Is the pen suitable for this?

I have inked it, and it writes very well (a little bit boring, maybe, but this a characteristic I found also on other Sailor nibs), unfortunately at this time there are not many occasions to write with a pen (as I work on a computer for the large part of my time writing papers and reports), so as usually I need to refill a pen after one or two months.

Anyway I do not see any contraindication in using it on the go, the pen will certainly be with me at my next meeting to take notes.
