New Dolcevita At Martemodena

According to an email they just sent out, MarteModena has apparently brought back the DolceVita Federico but with a few key differences. The roller clip found on the Delta DolceVita is gone, and the center band seems to be a plain band, instead of the patterned one found on the original. They're also going to make an aluminum one, which I think looks pretty cool. The biggest change though, was the rebranding of the pen: whereas the old on was merely a MarteModena exclusive this one is specifically branded MarteModena, with not Delta branding anywhere. I remember that the old ones had a wide range of nib options, however I can find no information about the nib options on these.

EDIT: Another big change is that the body appears to be made of different patterns of lacquered aluminum, instead of the wide varieties of acrylic that the old ones were made of. The other parts appear to be "Precious Resin".

Anyway, I thought it was quite interesting. I'm not affiliated with MarteModena, but I had one of their old Federicos and it wrote beautifully and look lovely.

I couldn't find working links to see the new materials but they look pretty interesting. I hope there's a red cracked ice one ...

It's made by Santini, as stated in the Federico's page.

Apparently, Delta is no more.

Wait....Delta is gone? Seriously? Wow. I've always wanted a Dolcevita piston. I guess I should get one soon before prices skyrocket because of scarcity.

So it seems.

Someone asked informations regarding Delta to MarteModena, but as it is custom in Italy the email has been ignored.

It would be nice if someone could ask the American importer. I would do it but don't feel confident enough to bother someone on the other side of the planet to satisfy my curiosity!

Delta is still alive, but actually suffering.

We hope for a quick recovery...

I love my 2-in-1 Federico(s) too.. it wrote nice and smooth, and I'd say the steel nib is no different from their Fusion ones - the latter I have 2 of them.

I called my Federico a 2-in-1 because when I bought it back then, I also had the option of buying a spare barrel (and other parts, piecemeal) along with the complete pen. Therefore I can have "2 pens" for slightly more than the price of one, and since I bought mine at a massive discount then from MarteModena, the total that I paid for mine with the extra barrel is actually far less than MRSP. I also noticed that they no longer offer this option shortly after I bought mine.

So these new MarteModenas are now made by Santini? Do they come with gold nibs? I saw some of their pens at FPH - the prices are quite reasonable for pens with 18K nibs, but so far none of them showcased at FPH had moved me to want to buy them, at least at this point in time.

I've just taken delivery of one of these and the 18ct gold Santini nib is lovely. I hadn't actually realised the barrel wasn't acrylic, but it's still handsome and seems sturdily made, with an o ring on the threads between section and barrel. I got mine in an eBay auction from Martemodena - so far it seems great value, and a pen I'll enjoy using.
