I open up this topic for different Parker showcases, displays  and trays about the first half of the last century that can serve as reference and guidance for those who dare to do or instruct a cabinetmaker an excellent container or exhibitor for his collection. I also will upload images and typos with the highest resolution possible to help make the work.

We begin with this counter case for two dozens.

What kind of bird is that?

As rightly said Glenn, Scarlet Tanager and taking advantage of his likeness in central red color with black ends, commercially Parker equated the beauty of both publicizing slogans like this: "RIVALS THE BEAUTY OF THE SCARLET TANAGER".

That was my thought as well, but the artist took liberties with the shape of the bill. The ads mentioning that bird make it clear that was the intention.

For love of it. And yet not waste time either.

This particular design was already used by Parker in 1898 and with this particular beautiful double lettering sign, at least since 1904.

Here's another case that fits to the first designs of the brand in the late nineteenth.

Lazard, Thanks for sharing!

You´re welcome. The best for you, too.

This other -with some recent addition as central tray and labels- we could place something after; c. 1910.

Different versions of floor counter cases years 10´s. In this type we know at least:

18 dozen =   9(3x3) +6(3x2) +3(3x1) = 3 levels.
12 dozen = 12(4x3) = 1 level.
12 dozen =   6(2x3) +4(2x2) +2(2x1) = 3 levels.
  9 dozen =   9(3x3) = 1 level.
  8 dozen =   6(2x3) +2(2x1) = 2 levels.
  6 dozen =   6(2x3) = 1 nivel.
  6 dozen =   4(2x2) +2(2x1) = 2 levels.

  4 dozen =   4(2x2) = 1 level.

With a little imagination we can recreate it in our minds with an assortment of Jack Knife with Awanyu, Trenchs, Transparents or with the daddy of them all, the Red and Black Giant. Simply close your eyes.

great  subject thanks for this fine start

I no longer have my pen cases but I thought I'd share a vintage Parker Pen Case Tray ,  of course I had to fill it with a few  handy pens

Why not show off my recent acquisition being a  Red Cardinal Tanager holding a  HRH Big Red and look closely and see my

Parker 51 Mirror , "The Worlds' Most Wanted Pen "

Please overlook the  cameraman's shinny dome
