Francesco Rubinato Seppia Con Essenza Di Cuoio Antico

I am very fond of this peculiar ink, so I thought I'd add to the review collection. Rubinato's "Seppia con essenza di cuoio antico" (Sepia with scent of old leather) is a nice, somewhat light ink, but with a rather intense scent. Unlike most scented inks (other Rubinato inks, de Atramentis, J. Herbin), this scent stays a bit on the paper, not just while you're writing.

Like the color, like the scent, like the bottle. Trifecta!

It does appear that there are various versions of the inks, as demonstrated by the variety of different bottles. The bottles I have are like these:

And I enjoy these inks and the bottles quite well!

Thanks for the nice review! Where did you obtain these inks? I searched on the rubinato.it site, and the ink section is "under construction." I did find a Turkish store, and thanks to Google Chrome was able to translate it. There is a page of inks that appears to be suitable for fountain pens, but they are in smaller (but similar) bottles than yours: http://www.panterstore.com/hediyelik-kalem-markalari/dolmakalem-murekkepleri/naturel-kokulu-murekkepler. At the current exchange rate, these smaller bottles are only $13.15US plus shipping. Rubinato makes a lot of "dipping" inks as well, and it is uncertain whether these are safe in fountain pens. Any more info would be appreciated!

I did buy my ink from Treasures2Remember, and they shipped quickly and well. From what I was told, only the metallic inks (copper, gold, silver) are NOT appropriate for fountain pens, but the ones with translucent inks are perfectly fine. I see that they have the "Seppia" with the pretty bottle I got. Only 4 left; go for it!
