Parker Im Premium Acting Strange....

I make a dark red ink mix that is:

1 mL Sheaffer Skrip Red

3 Drops Parker Quink Black

And if I leave the pen to sit for awhile, nib up, nib down, or on it's side it won't start. After a few scratches it writes a brown color at first then turns to red after a few sentences. When either red or black ink is put in the pen alone it doesn't do this, and this mix works fine in other pens, could someone tell me why it won't work in my Parker IM Premium???

I have a troublesome IM Premium that dries regardless of the ink I put in it. I have flushed it, soaked it in soap, soaked it in ammonia, and nothing helped. Today I plugged the breather hole in the cap, thinking it was excessive air causing it to dry. Hasn't helped. It all started a couple of years ago when I inked it with Sheaffer Red. That ink clogged a couple of new cartridge pens, and I thought it was those pens, but it clogged my IM too. The red ink has also clogged several other pens I've tried it with -- mostly Jinhaos. This IM hasn't worked well since. The nib dries completely within 3 or 4 ours. Today's ink is Bad Blue Heron which started out wet and is now crusty. :(
