St Dupont Converters?

So I assumed that all international converter pens would take another brand's converter, no problem. Apparently, not.

Is there more than one ST Dupont Converter? Mine does not fit my Orpheo

Thanks

The Orpheo/Olympio do use the standard International size converters, but earlier series used the Parker standard.

The Classique, Gatsby, Lady, Montparnasse use the ST Dupont, Aurora, Parker standard converter.

The Orpheo/Olympio, Caprice, D-Link, Ellipsis, Neo-Classique, Defi and Fidelio use the newer ST Dupont and the International size converters.

Bumping this - anyone know what's the scoop with the Dupont Defi? I recently got this pen, but it came without a converter.

I've tried fitting a standard international converter into it but it doesnt seem to fit snugly in the section. Is it just a tight fit, requiring me to push harder, or is there some secret variant of "international standard" that I need to get?

Thanks!

I have a Defi and it came with a converter. It is quite a snug fit to the degree where the edges of the converter are actually scratched by the pen. From looks though, it is not all that different from international standard converters.

The pen I write with, is the pen I use to sign my name.

^^ Thanks for that. I've actually managed to get a converter from a Jinhao 195 to fit into the pen - but it took me about 6-7 tries before I found a converter that fit. Go figure...

I've ordered the Dupont converter from Colorado Pen as well.

I just bought a Defi a couple of weeks ago and was told that it would not take converters. Maybe something needs to be Macguyver'd?

I think it takes short int'l converters, but only some of them - if you try a bunch of them, one or two might fit. In my case, it was a unit from the Baoer that did fit - those from Dukes and the Parsons's Italix did not.

I ordered the Dupont unit from Colorado Pens and in the orders comment, had asked them to check to see if it would fit. Bless them, they actually went to the effort for a $11 order and included a comment with the order confirmation that it did indeed work with the Defi.

Side note - big props to Colorado Pens!
