Nürnberg Pen Show, June 11Th

The General Manager of Kaweco Michael Gutberlet organized a nice Pen Show in Nürberg again this year.

Lots of national and international dealers and visitors attended this year's show in the great location of the Ofenwerk; a place where normall vintage cars are restored and sold.

The major focus of course were vintage German pens but also lots of nice Italien pens, modern pens or exclusive hand made pens with vintage roots from small brands like Goldfink (Tom Westerich) or Astoria (Horst Max Schrage).

Besides pens and inks the possibilty to chat with the pen experts during the show or on the pre-meeting on Friday night is invaluable gaining expert knowledge and information.

Also it was nice to meet many friends again. Luckily some members of the German pen forum www.penexchange.de which is run by Pelikan made it to the show as well.

Thomas Junge from the CAS posted a small review and lots of pictures from the event here:

Also collector Jean Buchser posted his images here on pentrace.com:

...if you look closely you can spot me and my friend on those pictures as well as one of the pens I bought :-)

Here are a few impressions by me:

Astoria Pens Hamburg (

Wow, great pictures! Thanks for posting.

In some things in life it's better to take a Zen approach. If you think too much you won't achieve your goal, wheras if you don't think and let yourself go, it shall be achieved with ease. I find this helpful in writing, kendo and music.

Very nice presentation of this meeting of Nürberg.

But for Tilburg, will it be ? The museum is closed since 10 january 2011, no more information on www.scryption.nl.

Will the place be opened for this european penshow ?
