Some Things To Haul Your Pen Collection Around In...

Relisted: (added photos)

If you are interested in either of these bags, just send me a PM or email me at ______________@triad.rr.com (fill in my FPN username in the blank). Thanks!

1. Navy Blue. Medium Blue, and Black Timbuk2 bag. Can be carried as a backpack (handles can tuck away when not carrying this way), messenger bag, or briefcase. I believe this is one of the larger sizes a 19.5"L x 13"w x 4-6"D. It is in great shape, just needs someone to use it. The only thing that I can find is a small spot (**see below for picture and info) on one of the backpack straps that the fabric has pulled out of the cording/ binding tape, about an 1" long. I think it could be fixed, or just left that way. Great padded section for a large/ widescreen laptop, as well as a pocket for school books or binders and a separate front flap area with a bunch of pockets for organizing pens, school supplies, phone, Ipod, whatever. There is a thick corduroy fabric lining the laptop pocket over the thick padding. Timbuk2 bags are incredibly tough and outlast most other bags I know of and have used. I have another one in colors that I like better, so I don't need a second one. This bag retails for around $140 new.

**The spot on the backpack strap may be covered under theTimbuk2 guarantee, I haven't tried since I am not planning to keep it. But you could definitely check it out if you want to. http://www.timbuk2.c...lity-guarantee/

$50 OBO including shipping in the US (by money order or paypal). Anywhere else, just ask.

Additional pictures of other pockets needed, just let me know.

2. Wilson's Leather ladies' work bag. Red wool fabric with black trim. Open-top style with three sections. Middle section is zippered and padded to fit a laptop. Front and back sections are open-top. Interior back zipper and slip-in pockets. Front phone and miscellaneous pocket with closure. 17"L x 12.5"W x 7.5"D. In excellent condition. Beautiful bag. I am a stay-at-home mom now and don't need a bag like this anymore, so it is sitting unused. Has been carried very little, maybe four times (?). This was a gift, tag said $110.

Trades:

I would be interested in trades for pens/ inks of similar value. My favorites: piston fillers, vintage and modern, M and broader nibs, stubs, CI's, etc. and medium to highly saturated inks in blues, blacks, pinks, reds, purples, teals/ turquoises, etc. Would be open to other pen options, as well. Interested in lower end or vintage: Pelikan, Montblanc, Geha, Lamy, Soennecken ...modern: Rosetta Coronado (black with silver trim), Bexley Simplicity...and others. If you think you have something that I might like, just ask...

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
