Fs: Pacsafe, Levenger, Tenba, Roadwired

Recommended Posts

First: We have a cat, but she rarely spends time in the place where these items were stored. No smokers in the house. This house is dustier than average, though. Prices include shipping in the US and Canada; ask about other countries. PayPal preferred.

1. Pacsafe MetroSafe 200 in Deep Chocolate. This is a nice urban bag with great security features (see link above for details). It's just large enough to fit an iPad in the large rear area (but has no padding, so use a neoprene sleeve). It can hold a narrow water bottle in one side and a small umbrella in the other. The side compartments are elasticized and have a snap, so they can be adjusted.

There's a rear zip pocket that's very shallow.

As an example of using this bag, I was able to keep my iPad in the rear, micro-4/3 camera body and lens between the two main compartments, passport, phone, small flashlight, and other small items I carry every day.

I haven't used this bag much; I found that I preferred a different layout. List price is $70; I bought it for around $55. Selling used for $25.

2. RoadWired yellow camera case. These are no longer made; I rarely carried it, so it's in good shape (except for some dust as the box I stored it in had the lid off in one corner). Will hold a mirrorless camera (like a Sony NEX or Panasonic GF1) or a traditional film camera like a Leica M body (not included!) or smaller film SLRs. I used this for storing my camera gear for many years; it has a surprisingly large number of nooks, crannies, elastic bands and so on. List price was around $55; selling used for $20. Can be used with included strap or slid onto your belt.

3. Fujifilm backpack made by Tenba based on their P261 model. This is a small, lightweight camera backpack. It holds an SLR with a zoom (80-200) and two smaller lenses plus a flash. I got this as a part of a trade, and I had just purchased a different, larger, backpack. Original price on this was $65; asking price is $25.

4. Levenger Circa Shuttle in red leather. This is a zip-around Circa (round ring) notebook in Junior (5-1/2 x 8-1/2") size with a zip jacket and a matching strap. I've never used it, but I did pile it on some books, so it has a gravity-induced crease on the back. Why did I never use it? Stationery overload. For a while, I bought stationery faster than I was using it. I've had this for a year or two and haven't managed to use it yet, so out it goes.

The zip folio without the handle or strap runs $99 in this size; I'll sell this one for $50.

5. Levenger Embarcadero handbag in cranberry leather. This is a lovely bag that can hold a paperback, a smaller notebook, and has wonderful organization. This was my favorite bag model for years, but I never really warmed to this color. It's new in box with a storage bag, but I did buy it from their outlet; I see no visible defects, though. Original price for this bag was $138; I'll sell it for $50.

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
