Parker Black Permanent Quink

Walc

Recommended Posts

I was filling my fountain pen with some black permanent quink and i noticed that there was not a review for it on this website so i decided to write one (this is my first review). Please note that this has been copied using a scanner and so the colour may not be completely accurate. I hope you enjoy.

This is an excellent review of a classic ink. Thank you for sharing!

Nice review of a staple - funny how some of the more common inks fall through the review cracks sometimes. And no, your handwriting is a far sight better than mine. The only suggestion I might venture would be a modification of your "k." It seems like there might not be much difference between the lowercase from uppercase ones.

Thanks for the review! Looks like you do what I do when writing, mix your cursive with printing.

I'm wondering where you were looking on this website that you didn't see the other review of this ink...It is linked in our Index of Ink Reviews which is pinned at the top of this forum. And your review is now indexed there, also.

Thanks for your review--we always like to have at least several on any of the inks :).

Best, Ann

I can't see the images either! I use black Quink cartridges. It's an OK ink, I just wish it was blacker.

I purchased a bottle of Parker Quink in black for my fountain pens and love it! Beats the cartridges I have been using, no contest using a platinum converter! Works wonderfully for refilling those Pilot Varsity disposables! I really like the nibs on the Varsity pens so I use a syringe to refill them when they run out of ink, Quink works fantastically for this purpose! Cheerio!

I know I'm doing something wrong, but I can't see the attachments either. I sometimes use Black Quink and would like to see your review. Amy I holding my mouth wrong? Why can't I see them?

How does the Parker Quink in blue or turquoise compare to Noodler's or other inks in those colors in your opinion?

Parker Quink Turquoise is some what like Waterman South Sea Blue.As to the Permanent Quink Blue it is hard to say.For myself I would call it a regular blue, much like a ball point pen blue.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
