Best online retailer?

All,

I recently moved to Las Vegas and am saddened to find that the only good local retailer is Paradise Pens. While their selection is fairly decent, their prices are practically msrp... So, my question is: Who is the best online retailer for fountain pens?(I'm specifically looking for a Delta Dolcevita Oversize with the Silver accents)?

Also, on a side note, does anyone know whether the silver dolcevita o.s. has a two-tone nib? I ask only because pictures I've found online tend to differ... Thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide to me.

Pam from Oscar Braun Pens is No.1 !!!

My experience buying from Pam was great. She was very patient with my numerous queries and requests.

She even sent my package overnight even though I told her there was no hurry. Because one of the inks I ordered was back ordered for a couple weeks.

I know what you mean. There is not a decent pen shop within 100 miles of me. Fortunately, there is a fairly large selection of good on line pen vendors. I buy frequently from Swisher Pens, Pendemonium and The Fountain Pen Hospital. Pam Braun has an excellent reputation, as does Parkville Pens and Peartree Pens. For a Delta FP, I would contact the Cajun Pen Shop. That is where I got my Dolce Vita Soiree and it was the best price on the Internet that I could find.

Good luck.

I used Fountain Pen Boutique.. I placed my order and it arrived the following morning.. great service and communicated with me throughout over email and their customer representative even called me overseas from the U.S to Jordan when they had a question about my billing information.. I recommend them :)

Contact Pam Braun at Oscar Braun Pen Shop for great prices and terrific service. Only one caveat: she doesn't take credit cards. But she tends to ship a pen to her customer as soon as she gets it, without waiting for the check to arrive. She is a wonderful person to deal with.

I will second PenGrump's ( who, btw ,is not a grumpy person!! :) ) recommendation of Pam Braun. I live about 40 miles from her shop, and have visited to buy pens from her. She is a very reliable dealer, is very trustworthy, and offers great service. I thin most of my modern pens have been purchased from her.

James Partridge from the Pear Tree Pen Company is a great dealer too.

All I hear is good stuff about oscarbraunpens.com, but the no credit card (not even paypal) policy is a deal breaker for me. It sort of defeats the purpose of ordering online. Yes, you can save money, but the time it takes to write a check and mail it, and the extra time it takes to receive the pen itself, isn't worth the relatively small savings I have seen on her site. I suppose the excellent service would be a justification; everyone seems to think the service is impecable. On the other hand, isn't the service pretty solid at a number of other online pen shops? Hmmm...

I'd also vote for Pam Braum. Every pen purchase from her has been an excellent experience, all around.
