Which On-Line Retailers

kaos

Recommended Posts

As I live in an area where our local stores do not carry fountian pens, I am stuck with shopping on-line. I have found several on-line retailers, and would like to get recommendations on which are good to work with and reputable businesses.

I have also noted a huge variation in pricess between on-line retailers. While I would expect some variations, one on-line retailer prices seem almost too good to be true.

Any help from personal experience would be appreciated.

Maybe it would be better if you can let us know what types/brands of fountain pens you are looking at?

There's a current thread under "Writing Instruments" addressing this matter.

Add Pendemonium to that list. Great people, great service, some exclusive Noodler's offerings, and Sam posts on FPN from time to time.

Can't believe you all left out Dennis Bowden at Parkville Pen. My only source for Bexley pens. Dennis is above reproach and is great to work with.

His URL is www.parkvillepen.com

Pam Braun has some great prices.

I agree. Best prices I found anywhere and a pleasure to deal with.

Hi,

Unfortunately it doesn't look like they would sell outside the US judging by their payment methods. Am I correct in my assumption.

Price wise nobody can beat Pam Braun of US and Pen Gallery of Malasia. You can also try melpens.com of Malasia. I believe apart from price all these are completely relaible . Richard Binder of US is an expert , he ckecks all pens and you can get some great customised nibs.

Devjeet.

Hi, I live in the Netherlands and have bought several pens at Pam and that was a very good experience. Quick and reliable, and great prices of course!

Pam rocks! I just talked to her this morning, I got a Carene Royal Blue M for $106 out the door. It'll be here Monday. :)

I like Temecula Pens too and had a very positive transaction with ColoradoPens.

Anyone know anything about Red Fingerprint.com? There's an Aurora there calling my name...

He's been around since forever. I bought a BCHR Waterman 52 from his in the late 1990s. More recently (around 2005?) I bought a Cedar Blue Parker "51" with a flexible nib. Good prices, good pens, but always user grade, at least the ones I've seen. Doesn't bother me since I buy pens to write with.
