Which is your main modern user pen? Or for serious rotators, which would it be if you had to pick from the modern pens you own?

Parker Sonnet here. I love the way it writes. I am looking to get a Cross fp too, but not sure what to get and where from..

Surprisingly, it currently is a Pilot 78G with broad stub nib. But I expect it to be my Sailor Sapporo with music nib. Got to love those Japanese pens.

Mine are a Lamy Vista and a Bexley Simplicity... they are the only moderns that I use a lot...

I have a couple of Pelikan 200s and I like them, but for some reason they don't get the use...

For the short time I was actually working in an office...I found I was leaning on my VP more than I figured I would...but also had a True Writer, a Phil, and a no-name calligraphy pen in the mix.

But truth be told...I used my P51 most of all...

If you ask me this question in two weeks, the answer will probably be different. At the moment, my favorite modern pen is a Visconti Van Gogh with the bayonet "quick twist" cap release. After that, my favorite modern is probably my Bexley Submariner.

I am one of the "Kultur freaks". :D Their ink flow suits me better than the relatively dry Safaris.

I find myself reaching for my Pilot VP/Capless and Decimo more and more at work these days. Very smooth, reliable writers and a conversation starter to boot.

My Pelikan m215 was the first 'higher end' pen in my collection and it has remained my go-to pen.

I enjoy writing with my Black Carbonesque VP and Lamy 2000, but nothing beats the feel of my 215.

I'm saving up for a black m805. :cloud9:

The modern pen you are most likely to find in my pocket is the M400 white / tortoise with XF nib.

Of course a vintage pen is my preference, but the Pelikan is very reliable and usually around.

For me it's a choice between my Lamy 2000 and my Pilot VP.

Pelikan M200. Consistent, attractive, holds plenty of ink, lays down an ample line. Best performer among my small collection, so it sees the most use.

My recently purchased Faber-Castell E-Motion has replaced my Phileas as my most popular everyday use pen though I still use my Phileas and to a lesser extent my Waterman Harmonie a great deal.

A VP is always enpocket when I go to work where failure means seppuku!

I don't think a Rotring 600 and a Parker Vector belong in the same class, but at times, either has been my primary daily writer. Also a Pilot Knight, which I think would fall into the "good, mid-range" category" as would my Rotring 700, Initial, and Newton. Probably my only daily writer that escapes the "mid-range" label is my Namiki Bamboo.

How did I end up with so many daily writers? It looks like I have one for each day of the week!
