I will receive it maybe tomorrow, same nib of youstruckgold: stub, that I consider the perfect nib for a L.E.!

Considering that I'm a owner of the first FPN L.E. from Bexley with stub nib and of both Model T and Passport Azurite FPN L.E. 2012 from Stipula, I think that danygr1974, alias Daniele, made a great work with this Fountainpen.it L.E. Fusion Nib from Delta with piston filling system because by now the other fusion nib pens are cartridge/converter.

By my side, I will shot a full service (with some macros) at its arrival and I will report first on the forum of its creator and then mirroring here if Daniele agrees (in order to let discussing it in the fpn groups on facebook and linkedin without breaking rules).

Congratulations to the designers of this wonderful pen!

Who did the design? Excellent video, is it possible to get a demo price on the 000 pen? :happyberet:

Is the ratcheting system in the piston mechanism a new development? Is that the clicking sound on the video, and does it work both ways? That is, when opening, or extending the piston, does the mechanism ratchet, or slip release as well?

This is an exciting pen, very appealing to my eye, rarely have I seen anything better.

Thank You for this great introduction.

Congratulations to YouStruckGold, superbly crafted pen, and nice writing!

Mine is n. 81.

The piston knob keeps going, with a clicking sound, when the piston itself is fully retracted but not when it's fully extended and visible through the ink window anyway.

Thanks, YSG. (Blushyblush.) I don't think I can copy your handwriting -- maybe something approximating your code handwriting (HA!), but only a weak facsimile.

I'm referring to the note you wrote in my journal back during the original Pen Posse, the inaugural Pen Posse, that I can't read. I had to transcribe it soon thereafter, while the decoding was fresh. :-)

My untipped stub feels wonderfully smooth despite being able of razor thin lines as well as double broad ones.

It is quite a nice pen indeed.

Hefty in size.

strangely, how come all of you guys here ordered Stubs, me included ! Mine is No.25 :D

I dont whether the gold and steel heat difference really contributes to better inkflow, but it indeed writes very wet (which I like) and smooth. It worked perfect out of the box.

The body is nicely done. At different angles, it catches the light and shows off the beauty of the dark graphite grey material.

The piston is a nice touch. So is the window.

I like the feed. Its impressive.

Its quite well shaped and contoured.

Danielle did a good job

There is a writeup (signed off by him) by him in the manual that came with the pen too.

I am only puzzled by the emblem badge on the cap top. The nib relief on this cap top seems to be placed out of alignment. I cant figure what it is aligned to.

From pics here of other pens, I notice its pretty consistently placed atop the cap. So I assume it must be aligned to something.

Opinions?

Exactly the same for me. It's definitely the best stub I own: both for smoothness and for the line variation it provides.

Here's a third to that. My stub is extraordinarily smooth - a great writer!

I too have the stub (on the Hippocratica) and it is a pleasant smooth writer.

The body is just a bit too fat for me compared with the relatively low weight.

It looks like it has no tipping, or it is very shallow with a liberal amount of plating. So I wonder how it will keep up over the years.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
