Thanks, The closest ones were gifts from my folks when I was much younger and I treasure them today. The FPs are daily workers and the set in the back was a gift from a couple Christmases ago.

Thanks, I like the looks of all your Townsend BPs, too! I love writing with FPs, but BPs are usually more convenient at the office, so I'm looking at a (or some) Townsend BPs to add to my collection :thumbup: Thanks for the photos!

Will do, I'll probably go for something ultra conservative (black/chrome), but that doesn't seem very "Townsend-like". I'll shop around and let you know if I fall in love with anything!

Pretty pens!

 

I'll post a picture of my new ATX as soon as I can - it's wrapped up and under the tree...sigh. I also have my trusty Matrix. It's not the prettiest pen I have, but it's a great writer and I love it.

I have been a member of this great community for some time now but have never posted before and I am glad that my first post is for Cross as I am a fan of pens they make.       I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
