Where To Buy A Pelikan M1000 Black In Eu?

Hi everybody,

I am relatively new to the FPN forums and I am sorry if this has been asked before, but I haven't found a recent thread about this.

What is the best place to buy a Pelikan M1000? I am still a student and cannot afford the prices I see on most of these sites. If there is anybody who knows where I can buy one for 300 euros or less I would like to know.

I have tried several pens from economical price ranges up to the 200 euro range. Pens like lamy safari, lamy studio, lamy 2000, namiki falcon, pilot custom 92, twsbi 580, twsbi 700, twsbi micarta all had some issue or something I didn't like about the pen. So I decided to try out a pen that is somewhat more expensive. The pelikan m1000 seems to be a smooth and wet writer that holds a lot of ink and isnt a small pen that needs to be posted to be comfortable to write with.

Any kind of information or help would me much appreciated.

I thank you in advance.

Hi

I doubt you will find a new one for under €300. If you do let me know as I am still looking myself.

The best price I found was £320

For the money you might want to look at the M800, slightly smaller and some would say better for long term use.

Thanks for the reply Paul. I have already thought about buying an m800 instead asl well and I think that will be a good idea especially since it is going to be my main writing tool. They sell them for 266 pounds which is still above 300 euros. I think I'll wait for a discount that may come in the future.

To be honest it sounds a bit impossible to find one at such a low price, you could try a Parker Duofold for something similar within your budget, the larger centennial can be found for £170 on amazon, just under 200 euros.

I have decided to go for a m800 which is the better choice since I will be using it for at school and homework. The price for an m800 seems to be around 300 euros.

Would you really use a pen like an m800 at school surely wouldn't? I would have been too scared it would get lost damaged or stolen to risk taking such a pen to school.

300 Euros? Try martiniauctions.com, though you have to bid, won't be available at a BIN (buy-it-now) price so no guarantees. Better watch for one now while the current going price is still low.

Elsewhere $500 is the norm :)

I bought my red striped M800 from a shop that will be closed: www.venloffice.nl. This shop is in Venlo, Netherlands.

They want to sell the pens in stock.

I paid 165 euro for my pen, brand new and unused. I also had a new Pelikan M405 in black there for 100 euro: that's a lovely one!!

That is a very nice site you found there. Sadly they don´t have any m800-m1000 pens anymore :( Are there any other similar shops you have found? I might have bought 2 pens for that price! I happen to live in the Netherlands as well btw so it would have been perfect if they still had the pen.

I don't know more of this sort of sites.

Have you seen on this site I mentioned the Pelikan set with sterling caps? Maybe they want to sell the fountain pen only. That's also a lovely pen. I don't know the size of this pen, but it's an uncommon pen with the sterling cap...

Well I am kind of deadset on an M800 already. I can buy it for the price of 300 euros now. Maybe while I save up they will have a small discount somewhere so I can buy it for a little less. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Pens are like watches , once you start a collection, you can hardly go back. And pens like all fine luxury items do improve with time
