Tamara (Usa) Fountain Pens?

Hello all,

a colleague of mine showed me a small celluloid button filler with a ring on the cap top. It has a 14Kt warranted (American) nib.

On the barrel it has an imprint

>>TAMARA<<

USA

Since he says his mother was the first owner of this pen, it seems unlikely that Tamara was the name of a previous owner. Apart from that it seems not very likely for a person to have USA imprinted besides his/her name.

So was Tamara an American brand?

Who can provide me with further information?

Any information is (as always) highly appreciatied

Hi,

I recently inherited at Tamara pen that belonged to my great Oma (she lived in Den Helder). It is a button filler as you describe. The only info I can find on Tamara is a reference to it in a list of other pens in Andreas Lambrou's Fountain Pens of the World. He lists it as part of a large group of labels that were imported as parts into the Netherlands and then assembled locally.

Thanks for the info!

Best wishes,

Allard
