In Search Of A Personal Handwriting Style

I've been experimenting for months trying to develop a printing style (with a cursive italic nib) and a cursive style (with a flexible nib). Here's where I am at present.

Let me know what you think.

Your cursive style with the flex nib is outstanding. The "A" in Australia, the "B" in Brazil and the "G" in Germany have come out really well.

I really like it and am envious, though I have a question.

It seems like that in your cursive style, that you don't use connectors so much.

Does your writing just flow like that ?

The reason I ask is that when I practice cursive, I have to make a conscious effort to use connectors.

For the most part, I often don't connect a capital letter to the rest of the word. With this particular style, I do connect a capital letter more often than I do if I'm writing in a more traditional way. Still evolving the style, so no telling where I'll end up.

As to.whether I use a conscious effort, I fight the tendency to use my conscious mind too much and am working to keep thoughts out of the physical movements of writing. This is difficult for me as I'm a left brained engineer.

Your writing writing has great character. A good way of keeping interest in this fountain pen hobby is to constantly develop and improve one's handwritting as well as developing new hands.
