Nos Visconti Van Gogh Maxi W/ Cam-Lock Cap

Recommended Posts

For sale is a never-used Visconti Van Gogh Maxi fountain pen in sandal brown. I don't believe it's ever even been dipped in ink. Medium 14k nib with a bit of flex (or spring, or whatever you'd like to call it). Unique cam-lock system requires only 1/4 turn to open yet stays securely shut. Beautiful sandal brown colol--lots of depth and is a bit translucent if you look closely. Includes threaded Visconti converter, outer box, faux-alligator inner box, papers, and bottle of red ink.

Selling because I have another identical Van Gogh and, well, I obviously haven't used this one.

Asking $225 delivered in the USA via Priority Mail.

Fine print: Price includes USA shipping (USPS Priority Mail). Three day inspection period; refund minus shipping cost if you're not totally happy. Payment via paypal. To claim the pen, please post in this thread AND send me a PM (same for questions--please post and PM). I might be interested in trades for old OS Sheaffers, Duofold Seniors, or other OS flat tops (Diamond Medal, National, Lincoln, etc.); maybe other stuff too so feel free to ask (but no small pens). Make me an offer if you don't like the price.

Buyer welched on the deal, so this very nice Van Gogh is still available.

(note: the flaky buyer was not Woliaj--who posted just above).

Thanks for the info (I only used B&W film and learned to process that).   Boy -- the stuff I learn here!  Just continually astounded at the depth and breadth of knowledge in this community! Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

It just wasn't likely to have been Kodachrome.  It would have been the films I referred to as "other color films." (Kodachrome is not a generic term for color film. It is a specific film that produces transparencies, or slides, by a process not used for any other film. There are other color trans

@Ceilidh -- Well, I knew people who were photography majors in college, and I'm pretty sure that at least some of them were doing photos in color, not just B&W like I learned to process.  Whether they were doing the processing of the film themselves in one of the darkrooms, or sending their stuff out to be processed commercially?  That I don't actually know, but had always assumed that they were processing their own film. Kodachrome 25 was the most accurate film for clinical photography and was used by dermatologists everywhere. I got magnificent results with a Nikon F2 and a MicroNikkor 60 mm lens, using a manually calibrated small flash on a bracket. I wish there were a filter called "Kodachrome 25 color balance" on my iPhone camera.
