Decisions! Decisions!

Try to keep our Noodler's Viooet Vote Periwinkle Edition as a regular item or shal we let it ride as truly a fluke. There are 3 bottles of Peri left. I need to discuss this with Nathan. Years ago there was a demand for periwinkle because it was *hot* color in wedding stationery. Not so sure there is still a huge demand for it. Talk to me about it!

Sam

Just found this thread and I was interested in Noodler's Periwinkle.

But this Violet Vote sounds like a winner.

I just went to your site and it was out of stock.

Any idea when it will be back in stock?

Thanks

Joe

Sadly what they had was a single limited batch. As far as I know now, Noodler's has no plans to make more. If you are interested in this ink and want it to be a regular run, you should email pendemonium and/or Noodler's . (May do more good to email pendemonium) and let them know.

http://stubblefield.me Inks Available for Sample Exchange: Noodler's Black, Blue Black, Apache Sunset, Private Reserve Black Cherry, Sherwood Green, Tanzanite, Velvet Black, De Atramentis Aubergine, J. Herbin Lie de The, 1670 Rouge Hematite, Bleu Ocean, Lamy Turquoise, Rohrer & Klingner Salix, Sheaffer Skrip Blue-Black, OS Red Rubber Ball, Parker Quink Blue (India version)

If you're speaking of Violet Vote, they'll be getting it back in once the manufacturing with the new dyes is complete. It can take some time, but keep checking back periodically. Violet Vote and Legal Lapis are going to be sticking around a while, I think.

Ah yes. Violet Vote will be coming back in stock. But it won't be this Periwinkle color. It'll be regular Violet Vote - which is a nice purple. I should clarify the periwinkle version of Violet Vote was a single batch. If you want that one, email pendemonium to see if they can convince Noodler's. If you want regular violet vote, then it's just a matter of waiting until Nathan Tardiff of Noodler's makes some more.

Ah, but how to get it processed - that is the question. I believe that the last machine able to run K-14 (Kodachrome processing) ceased to operate some 15 or so years ago. Perhaps the film will be worth something as a curiosity in my estate sale when I die. 😺

Take a lot of photos!   If the film has deteriorated or 'gone off' in any way, you can use that as a 'feature' to take 'arty' pictures - whether of landmarks, or people, or whatever.

My long lost twin! I thought I was the only one still hoarding so much film in the freezer (since the early 2000s). But digital gear has come a long way since then, and I finally converted a while ago. I'm planning to reclaim the freezer space, but I have no idea what to do with the film.

...random aside - I still have some 30 rolls of unused, long-expired Kodachrome 64 film (35mm). They have been frozen since 2009. No idea why I have held on to them for this long, but I guess I'm hoping for a miracle. I too have never developed colour film but I still d&p my B&W to this day. As a passion, of course.

Thanks for the info (I only used B&W film and learned to process that).   Boy -- the stuff I learn here!  Just continually astounded at the depth and breadth of knowledge in this community! Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
