    I am wondering if there are some vintage mechanical pencil collectors who could possibly give me some information on this pencil I have. On the gold below the cap it says "WAHL EVERSHARP Patented Gold Filled" and that is the only marking I see other than the engraving and cap that could help identify it. Also I am posting a picture of the tip. There seems to be a notch in it which does not appear to be an accident. Any idea what this could be for? Also if it is gold filled would I be correct to assume the gold on the cap wore off? I am amazed it still has the original eraser although worn to the metal rim.
