I guess I don't have to intruduce LV brand to you. Some time ago they started selling stationery products and offered some inks. A bottle of ink costs 52 $. Wow. The inks are sold is nicely looking glass bottles. The picture below was printscreened from Louis Vuitton website. Mmg112 sent me a lor of ink samples and Rouge Libertin was among them. Let's take a closer look at it. The color looks nice. I would say it's in a way similar to Sailor's Oku-Yama but it lacks saturation and lubrication to concur with Sailor's ink. On the other hand it's fairly well behaved ink that looks nice on most papers. The color is reasonably saturated and it doesn't jump off the page. It's quite elegant, actually. The flow is good but not excellent. I haven't experienced any feathering but some bleedthrough will appear on bad quality paper like Moleskine. It's not water resistant ink. I like the color but, quite frankly, just get a bottle of Sailor Oku-Yama and you'll still have almost 40 $ for other things Drops of ink on kitchen towel Software ID Color range Rhodia, Lamy Al-Sport, medium nib Moleskine, Lamy Al-Sport, medium nib Moleskine, Hero 5028, stub 1.5 Moleskine, Hero 5028, stub 1.5 Tsubame, Hero 5028, stub 1.5

penficionado posted a topic in Fountain & Dip Pens - First Stop
Hi everyone! Find out a bit more about Louis Vuitton fine pens. Whats your opinion on them? http://www.penficionado.com/index.php/2015/06/louis-vuitton-fine-pens-really/ Warm regards, Iunal -
Does anyone else have the Converter Palladium N79324 for your new collection LV FP? I cannot get mine to fill all the way? I could get about 1/2 at most...maybe it's that way by design, but that seems awfully strange. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Good to be a part of the community! Thanks, Anthony O'Donnell

About I was visiting my favorite antiquities boutique to service a watch, and I saw in the pen section, among the 4 or 5 Montblancs available, one overthick FP wrapped in leather. I thought it was just a 149 with a custom made leather "jacket", but today I asked to see it in detail, and I was surprised to see that it was a Louis Vuitton, made in crocodile leather. Checking the net, I found out that it is a rare pen, Louis Vuitton Cargo. I didn't see any mention here, and actually there are very, very few places where it is documented. One is here. http://www.luxuryexchange.com/shop/louis-vuitton/authentic-louis-vuitton-alligator-cargo-fountain-pen-le/prod_4701.html and another one is here http://howtospendit.ft.com/personal-luxuries/31343-swellboy-on-the-louis-vuitton-cargo-pen But not so much info... Does anyone know anything about it? The thing is really huge. It makes a MB149 look unnourished. And the grip is metal... Cannot be posted... It is really a very, very, uncomfortable thing. The only point that is tickling my mind, it's that they sell it for one third of its retail online, those who had it, and it is really a unique, albeit kind of useless, thing. But I am not a collector, I like my pens to be of service... Anyone has any reference or review of it? BTW, here is a pic of it from another web. The one in the shop is just the same...
