  1. Hi all, I was browsing YouTube last night, and I found the following videos about Yard-o-Led: A 'How it's Made' video about their pens and pencils: A 2024 interview with the owners, in which they talk about the company; its history, the challenges it faces in the modern world, and how they hope to preserve/grow it for the future: I thought that I would upload the links here, in case anyone is interested in finding out more about the company that invented the Mechanical Pencil, and its owners' commitment to maintaining the craftsmanship that is necessary to create its luxury products. I was also interested to find out the sheer size of the proportion of all the pen nibs produced in the world in the late Nineteenth century that were made in Brum/Brummagem/Birmingham (I used to live in that city). Side note: if anyone is interested in the sociology of the UK, they will find useful information in the differences between the accents of the owners of the company, and those of the craftspeople/employees who are featured in the video. (In the wise words of 'enery 'iggins, "An Englishman's way of speaking absolutely classifies him; the moment he talks he makes some other Englishman despise him" 😞) I hope that you like the videos Slàinte, M

    How It's Made - Aurora

Have a look behind the scenes of the only Italian brand that creates the pen entirely in Italy. Aurora is one of the few companies left that have the nib production in house, and we had the chance to film this. What do you think of Aurora?
