FYI: a new yellow M200 SE out there

Just for the record:

The German Galeria-Kaufhof department store offers a new M200 in yellow resin, gold trim and black cap top for € 39. It seems to be exclusive to them, so it may be an SE. Those, who bought it, say it is not identical with the Citroenpers LE yellow, as the number of chicks in the logo is reduced to one, the yellow shade is different and it is not numbered.

[please, please, no requests for help to get it! I don't want to disappoint anyone]

Hi,

Anyone know if they will ship outside of Germany, had a look at their website but with my elementary German I can't work this out.

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy

Their statement about shipping etc says:

Eine Auslieferung erfolgt zurzeit ausschließlich in Deutschland

Which means, as far as I know: At this time shipping is for Germany only.

Pity, I would like one too

regards Henrik

Henrik,

Pretty much what I thought, but as I said my German is pretty much limited to 'where is the train station' and 'two beers please' (guess that means I have my priorities right).

Thanks

Andy

Dear piembi

Thank you so much for your kind offer. If you don’t mind I think I’ll wait until January to make use of it – you know, Christmas presents etc..

Kind regards and a merry Xmas to you and yours.

Henrik

ps my apologies for being a bit slow, but the pm system doesn't seem to work for me. I've tried to send you a mesage a couple of times

Henrik,

your PM does not work - "not activated" had been the error message. Just let me know if you need my help.

Here a picture of my pen:

I am a bit puzzled by the claims that this M200 is different from the Citroenpers SE. I have one of those and it looks identical to the photos posted here.

Also, I inquired with Regina Martini. She has the yellow M200 for sale and told me it is identical to the Citroenpers (except for the fact that it comes without the book).

Does any one have both? Any chance to see a picture side-to-side?

Thanks,

Riccardo

I'd love to see a picture s well. Also, anyone know what that works out in US dollars? That is, if I can find someone to ship it to the US.

Hi,

The price in $ will be a bit less than $75 posting included. (which amounts for +/- $15)

Cheers,

Daniel

Wow. For that I could not resist if someone was to offer to help me acquire one! Let me know by PM.

If several of us join in (I might be interested), it can be shipped to just one member for US distribution. This could reduce the $15 significantly.

How many chicks are in the cap logo of your Citroenpers? I've read there were two of them. The new yellow M200 has only one chick.

I confirm the Citroenpen has the old logo (pre 2003 - two chicks) on cap, but you will agree with me that is a minor change between two different models... I suppose Pelikan just find a way to dismiss is back stock of yellow barrels & caps using this store chain.

My Citroenpers has the two chicks ... I missed that.

What about the claim that they're different shades of yellow?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
