Also, as someone who buys continuously from isellpens, the other party has just ensured I will never buy anything from them. Snark has a way of backfiring sometimes.

I have no great love for either of these dealers. That said, am I correct that you find property to be theft? I see that you are in Arizona. Who else is there, anybody we know?

Haven't we already been asked to quit the OT stuff and leave that to the two people concerned. Let's concentrate on the pen, for gawd's sake.......... ;)

I'm new here. Probably shouldn't get involved but after reading this thread I had to perform my research.

Sorry, I don't see the resemblence here, excpet there are two pens each facing a different way. And I'm really an inpartial observer.

ps. I DO think the pen contains a listening device

Um...wow. The last post says it all.

That said...this looks like a nice pen. Anyone get it in the calligraphy nib?

I ordered one of these pens and it is in my regular rotation now. I really like the styling of it, and it writes pretty nicely with the Aurora Blue I have in it. Great deal on a nice looking knock around pen.

Its a shameless copy of MB's creation. I would never even consider buying one.

Isn't imitation the sincerest form of flattery though. And they aren't passing it off as an MB. They have their own logo/brand on it. I bought it for what it is, fully understanding what it isn't.

I have a beautiful Paul Newman Daytona watch. No, it's not a Rolex (I don't have $65,000 to spare.....), it's an Alpha. Its marked as an Alpha. There is no pretence that it is a Rolex, unlike the many 'Folexes' you can buy. Same goes for this. So what that it looks like an MB? It isn't a copy and makes no attempt to pretend it's an MB. I'll probably get one just for the fun of it and if it writes well, I'll be perfectly happy with that. I wouldn't avoid buying/trying something just because it wasn't the real thing - it might write better........ ;)

Gawain, you're jumping in too late - ISellPens changed his picture shortly after His Nibs made the complaint...prior to that, the pics were identical (showing the one that His Nibs has on his site).

I really like the look of the Skywalker, but I wonder how well the rubber holds up to everyday use...I've had a few other rubber pens that were disappointing in terms of resisting wear, which is the opposite of what I expected when I bought them.

.....and it arrived this morning - just 5 days from order to delivery to the UK from the US - mighty impressive!

And so is the pen! What a looker! It actually looks much nicer in the flesh than in the photos (on any site.... ;)). It looks and feels solid, I can see no imperfections at all and I'm really looking forward to trying it out.

Thanks to Norman at His Nibs for the great service (no affiliation) :)

I've given it a very quick test and it writes well with what is (to me at least) a fine line (I'm normally a broad man myself - it goes with my girth.... ;)) but its reasonably wet and there's no skipping at all. Nice nib, actually.

As to the metal section Peter, strangely, I didn't even think of it until you mentioned it, even though I'm not a great fan of metal sections either. It feels cold to the initial touch but not slippery and being small and slightly tapered, it feels quite comfortable. I've no problems with it.

Bottom line is, at this price, its a steal.

I've had mine for a couple of months and it's an ok pen. Like someone else mentioned, it's a hard starter, but mine's not to the point of having to twist the converter. I like it well enough, it's a good value for the price.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
