Judging by the comments alone you might want to give nathan a heads up and tell him prepare more batches.

Speaking of which I don't suppose it comes in a 16/32 oz bottle? I'm planning to stock up. Heh.

+1!!! One can never have too much of a good thing!

Please, someone, PM me as soon as I can buy it... I don't want it running out before I get a chance to buy some bottles! (4.5 I hope)

I've looked at other scans of this ink, as well as the one at the beginning of this thread. The one on here looks as you might expect from the name, while others seem to have much more of a teal shade. If you've used it, would you tell me if this is a very dark blue with no teal?

Thanks! :)

Ish

I'm hoping I can snag the brown, even though this is a lovely color.

Although I am color blind, I am sure it is a straight blue with no teal. That's what I've been told anyway.

It is a blue with grey, no teal. It really is what it says: starry night blue, with very good shading properties :D.

In a way it looks like a vintage blue, just that it behaves much better :).

The color of this ink is lovely. I hope I will be able to buy a bottle or two when it is finally available.

It is the remaining FPN ink I do not have so I am very interested in a bottle myself!

  • 2 weeks later...

So enough hype already! When is it coming in? I'm *not* a patient person....

We've been hearing "a couple more weeks" for quite a while now. Is there anything that any of us could do to help with this?

Other than being patient (you, too, Ruth.. lol ) I am not sure what any of us can do to speed up or help with the process; it is apparently much more complicated than we ever imagined.

Mind you, some people have been waiting patiently (impatiently??) since Spring of 2011 for another chance to get a bottle or two of this lovely ink, and new stock was supposed to have been ordered in October of that year, but it still hasn't arrived more than a year later. :(

Like most of us, though, I'm still hopeful and still willing to chase the carrot! :P

Sorry, Holly, it appears that personal lives interfere, certainly on my side. We have set up everything for a temporary solution; we just need to make an announcement now, with instructions.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
