Great Review. I have quite a few Staccatos left but they will sell fast. Taccia only made a few of the Ebonote that I sold out.

Isellpens.com is closing out the Taccia Line. Prices will be slashed today so

check my site soon for a great buy on my remaining stock. I also will be selling the spare nibs and feeds. So, for you Taccia owner's it might not be a bad idea to buy an extra as they may be hard to find in the future as less dealer's now sell this line.

I'm confused. WHY are fewer dealers now selling Taccia pens? Richard stopped selling them last fall, shortly after introducing a custom version of the Staccato with great fanfare. Now Todd is closing out this line as well. Is this about pen quality issues, or strictly business and financial issues? As purchasers of pens, a lot of us would like to know.

Sometimes it's just about what will move, or about the distribution process. This thread probably created a run on Staccatos, because Todd's now sold out of them.

Thanks for the review. I myself just purchased this very pen a few weeks ago. However, I held off putting up my own review because I was having problems with the pen drying out. FPH opened the feed channels a bit. Didn't help. However, a new converter of a different type from FPH seems to have solved the problem. This pen is the smoothest writer I own. And it's an absolute joy to hold. The ebonite material feels great in my hand. Buyer beware, though. Seems like a lot of folks are having trouble with their new Taccia pens.

great pen and good price. as for the nib i think its a good standard nib.

if you want to upgrade the nib to 18k gold at around 50 dollars, or more interestingly and more affordable to a semi-flex steel nibs, check out Heritage Pens. by the look of it its the larger size and it will fit the pen but check with lou. i can highly recommend the semi-flex.

Will get back once I do that.

Congrats Fateh!

Please post some photos along with writing samples!

Enjoy!

I found and fondled one at the Portland pen show. While i liked the body and furniture,i didn't care for the nib.Now if a Bock nib were standard fare, maybe.

LOVE the colour though. That olive colour gets me every time.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
